Scott and Garry attended the Asia Pacific Srixon PGA Coaching Summit in Queensland late in 2008. The Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast hosted the bi-annual event for Teaching Professionals.

The 2008 Coaching Summit was specially targeted at short game. Stan Utley from the USA was very informative and is a specialist putting and short game guru while Peter Cowen is from Europe and is the National Golf Coach with many years experience.

Steven Bann was the Australian representative, coach of Stuart Appleby and KJ Choi. I addition to specific Golf Coaching, the 3 days also included information on physiotherapy, sports psychology and Junior Golf.

Scott and Garry are 'AAA' rated Golf Coaches, the highest level awarded in their Profession. This achievement is through constant knowledge building and Professional Development over a four year (cycle) period. The PGA estimates there to be approximately 50 'AAA' rated Teaching Professionals in Australia. 13th Beach Golf Links is fortunate to be assisted by two of them at this premium facility.
